Samsung has been using Qualcomm Chips for their Smart Phones for years now. But, however, this is soon gonna change with all new Samsung Galaxy S6. According to report by Bloomberg, Samsung won’t be offering a Snapdragon 810 variant in it’s Samsung Galaxy S6. Samsung reported Overheating as the main reason for dumping Snapdragon 810.

According to the report, Samsung said that Qualcomm’s Eight-core Snapdragon 810 overheated during the testing by the Korean Company. So, Samsung in turn decided not to go ahead with Snapdragon 810 for it’s upcoming phone Samsung Galaxy S6. Instead of using Snapdragon 810, Samsung has decided to go ahead with an in-house Exynos SoC.

The South Korean Company has been making some noise in the field of application processors of late now. It is important to note that Samsung may be seem to lag behind the power of Qualcomm Processors but still, Samsung isn’t that far in terms of the processing power being offered by Qualcomm Processor. Moreover, when Samsung Processors are compared with rest others like Intel,MediaTek and even Nvidia for that matter lacks the power which is offered by Samsung Processor.

As far as the comparison between Samsung Processor and Qualcomm Processor is being concerned, Qualcomm seems to be ahead with LTE Category 9 Modem which can attain whooping download speeds of upto 450 Mbit/sec. But still, if Samsung is looking forward to boycott Snapdragon 810, then, some other alternatives for Snapdragon 810 are available and are currently being used in some other Smart Phones like HTC’s upcoming HTC One M9 and LG’s G Flex 2.
