When we last posted about the update of Google Play Services , we begun to teardown it’s APPK for further inspection and possible bugs. During this process, we came across an interesting feature : “Nearby Players “ features which was being in speculations for sometime seems ready to Go.
Many Users have seen this feature gone Live on their Smart Phones, and,Heading straight to Google+ and Spread the news about it. Check your Own App to see whether this feature is Enabled or even Supported, though the distribution seems to be somewhat Random.
What Nearby Player Actually is ?
As it’s name sound, This Feature alerts you when someone is near your Location and is playing the Same Game from the Play Store. Moreover, you can Search for new Multi player matches in compatible Games via Standard Online Matchmaking Systems. Even better ,You can search for playerswho are in physical surrounding of you.Obviously, this works simply great for WiFi or Bluetooth Enabled Multiplayer Games but there’s no reason that online-only multiplayer modes wouldn’t work for players in close physical proximity as well. The feature can be disabled if you would rather stay private.

It must be noted that Nearby Players as well as many other services requires your Device’s GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth and sometimes even the Micro Phone To determine your Location. You’ll need the latest version of Google Play Services, and probably a fully updated Google Play Games, to see the Nearby Players option, but you might not have it enabled even then.
